Our journey in America has been shaped by over four hundred years of systemic oppression; slavery, segregation, and ongoing racial discrimination. My focus on Black men is not intended to exclude anyone, but to highlight the unique historical and cultural context that shapes our experiences. As Black men, we’ve had few opportunities to address our pain, trauma, and disappointments without being judged or dismissed. Now is the time to create safe spaces where we can heal from the past and move forward together.

I refuse to stand by and watch this pattern of silence continue. Through prayer, research, and deep contemplation, I’ve connected the dots between our unaddressed trauma and our struggles with communication and overall well-being. This book is my attempt to explore these connections, shed light on the challenges we face, and offer pathways to healing and open dialogue. By addressing these deep-seated issues, we can begin to heal and create a better and brighter future for ourselves, our families, and our communities.
